2.6 LOOKING AHEAD
Chapter 3 examines modulation and shows how information changes a carrier's amplitude, frequency, or phase and redistributes signal power in time and frequency. Chapters 4 and 5 then consider RF propagation and antennas, explaining how fields travel and how their spatial distribution is established.
These foundations lead to Chapter 6, which introduces RF emissions, exposure, and dose. Later chapters build on the same quantities to explain biological interaction, assessment methods, exposure limits, and practical RF radiation safety controls.
