10.10.2 Work Authorization

Formal authorization should be used where the work, exposure conditions, or shared responsibilities make it necessary to confirm that the prerequisites have been satisfied.

It should identify the work and its limits, the approved source states and controls, the people authorized to act, the validity period, the communications and stop-work conditions, and the formal release or handback required before restoration.
