10.12.8 Confidentiality And Respect

Pregnancy, medical-device, implant, and health information should be handled confidentially and only by people who need it to arrange safe work.

The RF safety documents used at the workplace should record the necessary access and work conditions without disclosing unnecessary medical information. Practical adjustments should be considered before restricting work, consistent with applicable employment, privacy, and work health and safety requirements.

The objective is effective protection and equitable participation, supported by individual assessment where necessary.

10.12.9 Summary

Special arrangements may be required for pregnancy, susceptible medical devices, metallic implants, functional limitations, visitors, contractors, and inexperienced workers. Pregnancy changes the applicable exposure category after notification; medical-device interference and implant effects require assessment outside ordinary exposure-limit compliance. Visitors and contractors must be classified and controlled according to their actual activity. Individualized assessment, competent advice, appropriate supervision, confidentiality, and practical work adjustments allow the RF safety program and applicable Plans to protect people without unnecessary exclusion.
