6.4.4 Extreme-Value Tests
Extreme-value tests are designed to assure stability under exposure to:
- Extreme Conditions. The module, sector or model must be able to cope with otherwise unplanned or unexpected inputs (including feedback from other parts of the model or interfaces with other modules, sectors or models), which present values outside those anticipated.
- Extreme Policies. The module, sector or model must be able to cope with deliberate inputs having values outside those to which the module, sector or model would normally be exposed.
