6.2 VALIDATION—BUILDING THE RIGHT MODEL
In essence, IEEE (1983) explains that validation is the process of evaluating models at the end of the model building-process to ensure that they comply with model requirements. When we validate a model we seek to answer the question: “have we built the right model?”
