4.2.2 Deciding On The Governing Business Rules To Be Included In The Model

The inclusion of the governing business rules in each of the modules and the POPULATION model is essential to ensuring that:

• all essential governing business rules have been included;
• non-essential governing business rules have been excluded;
• there is a basis for subsequent re-combining of the modules into the model, after each of the modules have been built and tested; and
• there is a basis for testing that the required reference modes of behaviour are replicated through the modules and subsequently in the model.

This leads to the step of creating a definitions table.
