2.8.1 [Common] Modules—Molecules Of Structure
Coyle (1996) identifies system dynamics modelling common modules and describes them through the use of influence diagrams. He also uses corresponding blocks of code in COSMIC® system dynamics modelling software to expedite the model building process.
Hines, et al. (1996; 1997; 2000) set out to define a set of molecules of structure frequently encountered when building system dynamics modelling interventions. These common modules and molecules of structure define many of the fundamental building blocks of the system dynamics modelling discipline.
