3.1.12 Further Development Of The Bathtub Model

Now that the BATHTUB model has been developed and we know that it works as required, it is relatively simple to add functionality to it. For example, we might:

• link the outflow to the inflow by way of a delay function (a pipeline delay would be most appropriate);
• change the algebraic formulation of Flowing In and Flowing Out to virtually any form we need; or
• daisy-chain models together to represent a queuing or supply chain model.
