7.5.2 Identify Risks
Armed with the results of our preliminary analysis of the interrelated aspects of the problem situation, the processes of answering the following questions becomes relatively straightforward:
- What can happen? —to answer this question, it is essential to use the methods of participatory management based on action research/action research. Creative thinking techniques such as brainstorming can be most useful here, noting that not everybody feels comfortable with creative thinking techniques. Frequently, it will be necessary to interview key stakeholders on a one-to-one basis. Cognitive mapping has proven to be a most useful tool to support these knowledge elicitation activities.
- How can it happen? —as above (What can happen?).
