6.13 SUMMARY

The principles of method described in Chapter 5, as drawn from the literature and empirical case studies in Chapters 2 and 3, are applied to a practical problem to demonstrate their veracity. This chapter describes step-by-step how to address real-life systemic, dynamic problems. Problem conceptualisation techniques are explained. The techniques used by a number of leading researchers were extended, based on experience gained during the conduct of research, practical consulting experience and as a result of teaching systems thinking and system dynamics modelling.
