12.9 UHF / SHF ANTENNAS

As we saw in Chapter 11, propagation at UHF and SHF is characterized by line-of-sight paths so it is important that the beam is very narrow, focusing as much energy as possible towards the target antenna. Fortunately, this is possible in these bands because of the small dimensions of the antennas required.
