12.3 ANTENNA PROPERTIES

There are a number of properties of an antenna that we could use to describe its usefulness for a particular application: gain, effective aperture, beamwidth, sidelobes, polarization, impedance, bandwidth, radiation resistance, radiation pattern, antenna efficiency, and physical dimensions. Each of these is discussed in more detail in the following sections.
