Queuing System

A queuing system is specified by six main characteristics: a. An arrival, or inter-arrival, distribution. b. A service, or departure, distribution. c. A number of service channels. d. A defined service protocol, such as ‘first come, first served’. e. The maximum number of customers which can be in the system at any one time. f. The (size of) source from which customers are called.
