Inclination

The inclination of a satellite’s orbit is the angle between the orbital plane and the Earth’s equatorial plane, which corresponds to an inclination of 0°. An orbit with an inclination of 90° is a polar orbit, in which the satellite passes over or near the Earth’s poles.
