Attitude

The attitude of a satellite is its orientation in space, usually defined with respect to a reference frame such as the Earth, the Sun, or an inertial coordinate system. Attitude is controlled independently of the satellite’s orbit and determines the pointing of antennas, sensors, and solar arrays.
